In our everyday business dealing we are always getting comments
from engineers, that customers are just "picking their
brains for free". As
budgets get cut, more and more companies are calling on the
services of freelance expertise but are not paying for call
out charges or normal service rates. Most engineers want to help customers but as things get
tighter financially and income drops off a cliff,
"helping" is not a viable option.
By becoming one of our service support partners you can at
least earn revenue every time your phone rings from
a customer using our centralized support number.
Its in your own interests to promote this service to
your existing customers - so put it on your business
cards, website etcIt's in the
customers long term interest to make sure you survive to
support them in the future - its just often budget for
service cannot be justified until they "really"
need it and then it must be kept to a minimum.

going. So, along with the other tools available through
techmediastream.com we are providing you the infrastructure
to continue to be successful.
Be a part of the new support structure.
What's
the concept behind this service?
We know for a fact that anyone involved with service of
equipment that involves hourly (often
open ended) charges has seen a reduction in their workload
due to current economics. Unlike sales companies where
transaction volumes may have just decreased, paid for
service has seen an even bigger drop. End-users trying
are now attempting to fix problems themselves, often utilizing
parts from redundant tools, as the
uptime pressure has been removed due to lower production
volumes. Instead of having less work, some engineers have
seen work almost totally disappear. Customers however, still
rely on external expertise and the "good will" of the engineer to
help, often without any form of method of payment.
Our service has been designed to allow customers to get
support and provide revenue for engineers who otherwise
would get nothing.
Can anyone offer
service via to your system and how much does it cost?
Anyone can register
but as you can appreciate we have to keep the quality of
service very high so you must provide customer references
who WE WILL CONTACT to check out your
suitability. Each call is logged (and probably
recorded) and followed up by our staff to see how well the
support call was handled. A feedback rating system is
applied that is made public.
To register is Free of charge and you can have up to 10 keywords
that are used to let customers find you in our searchable
database. Optional chargeable extras such as profile
banner ads etc are available to purchase to help you advertise
or maximize your earnings.
How much can I
earn from telephone calls ?
We are governed by
laws applicable to each country where we have the premium
rate number registered, so it is often difficult to give an
exact value until after each call. The outbound cost
also varies depending on if we are forwarding to a landline
a mobile or a skype account. After we pay the telecoms
and number providers their revenue then you will receive at
least 50% of the margin. ( Note the margin is not the rate
of the call as the telecom company takes a significant part
of this revenue and is determined by the carriers used in
each location).
As an example in the UK the call is charged at its legal
maximum £1.00 per minute - the telecoms provider s will charge
roughly 50% leaving a margin of £0.50 per
minute to be split.
Why do you charge a commission or part of the revenue when its my expertise ?
We try to keep our charges to a minimum in order to provide
a good service to you and the customer base. We take a
small percentage to go towards our running costs and
marketing budget, which in turn should allow you to service
more customers.
What is to stop me just bypassing your system and booking
a service visit or running my own support system ?
Many customers want to deal with a reduced number of
suppliers and vendors, so often want to place orders via a centralized company like ourselves.
Also being a part of a larger organization has benefits with
your own reputation as it is known to the customer base that
your work will have been vetted by ourselves and references
taken up.
What Happens if someone calls me and I am unavailable ?
Customers will hopefully leave you a voicemail and you can
return their call or email them with a time you will be
available. What you do is up to you - This of course
may mean you will pay for a call but it may a new
customer for you. ( This is hte same as you currently
do today so you have lost nothing). You may also arrange a time
for them to call back or you could email them with a time
for them to recall you. There are other support
options you may want to implement - please feel free to
contact us for more details. We would encourage
you.
